Editorial Videoblog for August 2024

Hello Everyone,

    As I sat down to create my editorial for this month, I was led to this old poem I wrote back in 1968, during the Vietnam war:

    I saw life before the war…
    I saw life through Hell’s open door;
    I saw hate, and horror and grief,
    and I saw the coming of the war.

   The bombshells roared across the sun,
    every man carried his gun.
    The women screamed when they saw their men dead,
    and the children cried as they tried to run.

    The buildings fell and the seas rolled in,
    a million men died along with their sins,
    and still they tried, and struggled, and fought,
    but they knew not what they wanted to win.

    Then from God on his throne up above
    came a message carried by his sacred dove.
    He said we’d all lost track of the truth,
    He said we’d all forgotten to love.

    And now if you look around you, you’ll see
    a world that is trying more loving to be;
    yet if you look closely, you’ll still see burning hate -
    the duty to teach love lies with you and me.

   I was a teenager when I wrote this poem, during another challenging time.  I believe my Guides drew me to it now, because the message here holds true today more than ever before.

   It’s truly time to face the truth in every part of our lives.  Believe me, there is nothing to fear in what you can see.  Sometimes we avoid the truth’s we are faced with because they don’t fit in with the reality of the life that we’ve created for ourselves.  Truth’s that we refuse to see, become pitfalls that can trip us, awaiting our future steps.  My advice is to celebrate every truth you discover in your life and in your world, whether it’s an easy and reassuring truth, or a difficult to accept truth, and bring love to it.  Dissolve any fear or unhappiness in the light of love.

    That is the message I received in this poem, and it still holds true now.  There is a war between good and evil waging in our world, and yes, it often has a physical counterpart that requires action.  That war may be between nations, or between family members.  It is still a war.  The saying, “Truth shall set you free” holds true.  No matter what action, what direction, is being taken, bring love to it.  Surround it with positive affirmations, with your firm belief in an outcome that uplifts all humanity and brings peace to all, especially to you and your loved ones.  Evil cannot exist within love and light.

    So, I wish you all Love and Light, and I offer you a reminder that my Kabbala Pathworking class that lifts, transforms, and enlightens, is still open for enrollment.
