Hello Everyone,

First, I want to take a moment to wish everyone reading or listening to this a Happy Mother’s Day!  That’s right, even all the guys.

I recently had a bittersweet experience that mixed loss with love in a most wonderful way that I’d like to share with you.

As many of you know by now, my passion is Psychic Development and Kabbala Pathworking and Spiritual Evolution…but my most loved hobby is breeding and raising Pekingese dogs.

My most confident and successful mommy dog is Mini.  Well, Mini delivered her most recent litter on April 8th, and what was expected to be an easy delivery, as always before, turned out to be a severe trial that nearly killed our poor girl, and did result in the death of one of her pups.  You see, three of the pups were born sideways.  That is rare, and almost always requires a c-section.  Mini had all these puppies naturally, but the process caused severe bleeding and infection and she had to be neutered to save her life.  She spent 4 days in emergency care.  It was touch and go.  We prayed.  Many of you sent love and healing energy and it was deeply appreciated and definitely helped.

But here is what I really want to share with you.  During the time that Mini was hospitalized I was tasked with driving her between clinics and procedures and doctors; that left my husband, Ron, home to deal with the six puppies left without a mother.

So, Ron became ‘mommy Ron’.  The pups had to be fed every three hours, round the clock, first by syringe and later by bottle.  Ron set his alarm and woke every three hours to be sure each of those six babies had enough to eat.  He kept them clean.  He set up their box with a hot pack and heated pillows to keep them warm.  He did Mini’s job for her.

Now that Mini is back home, and can begin taking her job as mommy back, Ron’s still not done with his job as mommy Ron.  Mini can feed her babies now, but Ron is there to supplement feedings, to medicate her and her pups, and to make sure everybody is warm and comfortable.  I have been helping as I can, but frankly, I couldn’t have done the job as well as mommy Ron.

So to all of you out there reading or listening to this, Happy Mother’s Day.  I always take the time to wish every woman a Happy Mother’s Day whether she has children or not, as all women instinctively are nurturers of something or someone.  But it’s obvious that you guys are too.  So, ask yourself, what is the person or the thing in your life that has been worthy of your nurturance?  What, or who, have you given life to, or protected and helped to grow and flourish?

Mother’s Day is for all of us who are nurturers.  Take a moment to reflect on how much good your love and nurturing ability has done, and whether you celebrate alone or with family, reward yourself for a job well done.

Happy Mother’s Day to everyone!

Love and Light,

Sandy Anastasi
