Psychic Development Tip #4 - Meditation

All truly worthwhile psychic development programs include instruction on how to meditate.  

Here’s why -

When you meditate, several things happen that are extremely important to your being able to turn on the switches to your ESP safely and easily.

First - you will notice that your concentration and ability to focus improves.  You gain an uncanny ability to ignore what’s not important and focus in a powerful new way on what you choose.  Meditation gives you control over your own mind.
   

Second - you learn to quiet your mind through meditation, so you can easily tell which thoughts and feelings coming into your mind are your own, and which are not.  This is absolutely necessary if you are to be able to master two major psychic skills - telepathy and empathy.
    

Third - A consistent meditation practice helps you create what I call a ‘meditative personality’.  Your entire body and mind will be able to enter a certain ‘stillness’.  That stillness allows you to use your entire being as an antennae sensitive to all the currents of both your outer and inter worlds, and as you progress in your psychic studies it even allows for a special connection to those higher parts of yourself to give guidance and insight.  This ability is needed to channel your higher self and guides, and also in mediumship.
   

Fourth - A meditative personality develops strong personal psychic protection as the person’s mind is so still and clear they can tell if they are being mentally or psychically affected by something unwanted instantly.  For many this natural defense is powerful enough to even detect potential physical threats so the person is able to remove themselves from those threats long before they become a reality.
   

If you aspire to develop your God-given psychic gifts I strongly suggest you begin a practice of meditation now.  I am not talking about guided visualization.  Guided visualization techniques are actually a form of hypnosis.  They can help you to change behavior patterns and in other ways as well but should not be confused with true meditation. Meditative techniques useful for psychic development are those that teach you how to control, to focus and to empty, and ultimately still your own mind.  They often have elements of breath control as well which helps you on the way to learning how to raise and control and ground your own energy.
    

Yoga schools and many Martial Arts schools teach meditation.  You can also learn meditation from me in my Psychic Development Level 1 class or via an MP3 I created in which I teach sitting yogic style meditation.  There are many forms of meditation.  Even if you’ve had trouble with meditation in the past, I am sure when you try different systems you will find one that works for you!
