Tarot Tip #20 – How Pentacles People Love

I have always felt that if youngsters were taught that not everyone loves in the same way, our world would be a much happier place.  In this tip I’m going to address how Pentacles people give and receive love.  The Pentacles in the Tarot correspond to the three astrology earth signs of Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn, and in the playing-card deck they correspond to Spades.

Pentacles people are earthy.  Mind you, they also often have a very deep spirituality, seeming to connect deeply and automatically into the vibrational reality of the natural world.  But here we are interested in how they give and receive love.
 

It may be difficult for you to be in any sort of love-based relationship with a Pentacles person unless you understand a simple concept.  Pentacles people are powerfully connected to the physical world and to money and stuff.  So, when a Pentacles person wants to show you how much they love you, they will often give you something, or build you something, or do something nice for you.  But unless they have some Cups or Wands energy too, they are unlikely to be romantic or full of hugs. You may think their quiet attentiveness as they listen to you is showing their caring…but what you don’t know is that inside their head they are building their next project while they only appear to be avidly listening! Conversation is not their best trait, and they generally don’t like gossip. Pentacle people are usually very strong, often stoic people with powerful and complacent personalities, slow to anger.   They are great protectors and supporters of their families and friends.  They won’t ask for anything in return, either, although they will certainly notice if the scales are always lopsided.
 

So if you are with a Pentacles Person and you are not one yourself, you will have to expand your concept of love if you are to feel loved in your relationship.  Instead of the hug you might have wished for, appreciate the fresh baked bread, or the speedily repaired doorknob.  That is love expressed by your Pentacles loved one.

And how can you best show your own love to a Pentacles person, even if you aren’t one yourself?  Easy.  Buy him or her that thing they’ve been secretly salivating over.  Help them out, in the garden, or some other project, not by taking over the job, but by offering to fetch and carry, and assist.  By observing them hard at work you are sharing your love for them, with them.   Another way to show your love for your Pentacles loved one is to create a business together.  Share their favorite hobby with them.  Support them, as they do you. 

That is true love for a Pentacles person!
